Clinical Psychologist
Alex is a registered psychologist who completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree at Curtin University and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) degree at the University of Tasmania. Alex strongly believes in approaching therapeutic work with a sense of openness, collaboration, and flexibility. He is trained in, and utilises, a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches (including Cognitive BehaviouralTherapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help people reaching their therapeutic goals.
Alex is experienced in working with people across the life span (ranging from adolescence through to older age) to address mental health concerns such as: anxiety and mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorders, and adjustment difficulties. Alex also has extensive interest and experience in the assessment of cognitive ability and learning difficulties.
Alex has specific clinical interests in the diagnosis and treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder, academic/testing anxiety and men’s mental health issues.
