Lachlan is committed to providing collaborative therapy for each person's unique mental health needs. He believes that a warm, friendly, and adaptable approach underpins therapeutic progress. Lachlan applies skills from a variety of evidence-based treatment frameworks including – but not limited to – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Lachlan also has a keen interest in psychometric assessment and strongly believes in using all tools available to develop a thorough understanding of his clients' concerns.
Lachlan is capable of – and interested in – working with a broad variety of concerns including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma/stressor-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, personality vulnerabilities, and adjustment difficulties. He is also interested in the assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders – including intellectual developmental disorder, specific learning disorders, autism (adults only), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
