Clinical Psychologist
Liz is a Clinical Psychologist who has extensive experience in working with adults who present with a variety of mental health concerns. Liz has a special interest in working with people who have experienced psychological trauma, as well as those who have addiction difficulties. Other areas of interest include anxiety and mood disorders.
Liz completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology) at the University of Tasmania in 2010. She has also undertaken further educationin the alcohol and drug field, completing her Graduate Certificate in Addiction Studies for Health Professionals in 2015. Liz is an AHPRA endorsed Clinical Psychologist as well as a Board Approved Supervisor. Liz has worked in a variety of areas across the public and private sector, including in the areas of alcohol and drug addiction, disability, community mental health, and vocational rehabilitation.
Liz has training and experience in a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. She draws upon these approaches and tailors a treatment plan to suit the individual needs and preferences of the client.
