Clinical Psychologist
At Archer Street Health, Megan works almost exclusively with neurodivergent children and adults. She has a particular passion for Autism: she offers Autism assessments for children and adults, and therapy/support for neurodivergent children and adults. Megan is keen to support families, and welcomes family members to attend with their young person. Megan is passionate about neurodiversity-affirming care and she is a strong ally of the Autisticand LGBTQIA+ communities.
Megan is a Clinical Psychologist who has been working in private practice since 2013. She was originally trained and employed at the Tasmanian Autism Diagnostic Service (TADS) and is qualified and experienced in the use of Autism-specific assessment protocols (e.g., ADOS-2, ADI-R, MIGDAS) as well asother standardised psychometric tools. Megan has a Master’s degree in clinical psychology, and is an APRHA Board-Approved Supervisor for other psychologists in training/practice. She also works as a School Psychologist with the Department of Education, Children and Young People (DECYP).
In addition to being a psychologist, Megan is also a qualified and experienced teacher, and in the past has worked as a Primary Teacher and High School Science Teacher in International Schools in Asia and the Middle East. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Zoology. Outside of work and parent-life, Megan has a broad range of interests including animals, indoor plants, music/musicals, news/documentaries/social justice issues, and badminton.
